Origins and Characteristics

This landrace strain originates from the tropical rainforests of Central Africa near the equator. We feminized the genetic over two generations, selecting only the best plants to create a stable and authentic Congo strain. It is a tall Sativa with large central buds and minimal side branching. Thanks to its humid native environment, it exhibits strong resistance to mold and pests.

Congo features a fresh, lemony aroma with a taste reminiscent of wild strawberries. It delivers an energetic high lasting up to four hours, with a THC content of 18%. The plant has thin, green leaves and produces dense, dark green or purple buds covered in crystals. It offers an excellent flower-to-leaf ratio and an unmatched fruity scent.

This strain induces a long-lasting cerebral high that brings about feelings of euphoria and happiness, leaving a lasting sense of well-being.

Cultivation Guide

Congo is well-suited for indoor cultivation but can also thrive outdoors with sufficient sunlight. As a pure Sativa, it has a relatively short flowering time of 10–12 weeks. Outdoors, it can be harvested in mid-October. During flowering, gradually increase phosphorus and potassium from the third week of the flowering phase.

Indoors, expect a yield of 500–550g per square meter, while outdoor plants can produce 750g or more per plant. Due to its height, indoor growers should trim and use trellises to manage growth effectively.
