CBD Skunk Haze is a powerful, award-winning strain known for its large buds and favorable flower-to-leaf ratio. With a 1:1 CBD:THC ratio averaging around 7.5% each, this strain delivers a relaxed yet clear-headed experience that’s perfect for both medical and recreational users.
CBD Skunk Haze was first introduced nearly a decade ago and quickly became a favorite among experts. In 2013, it won third place in the Sativa category at the Treating Yourself Expo in Toronto. By 2016, it had taken home three cups in Canada, including first prize at the Karma Cup in the Medical category and second place in the CBD category at Lift Expos in Vancouver and Toronto.
This strain was developed through a collaboration between Dutch Passion and the CBD Crew. It combines Haze/Skunk genetics with a high-CBD variety to achieve its balanced 1:1 ratio. The result is a strain that offers a calming, stress-free high without the intense psychoactive effects of high-THC strains.
CBD Skunk Haze has a spicy, aromatic profile with notes of cedar, citrus, pine, and mint. Some phenotypes lean into a classic Haze scent with citrus undertones reminiscent of Tangie or Lemon Skunk. The taste is similarly fresh and spicy, with a haze-like character that can occasionally take on more woody and fruity notes.
The buds are highly resinous and sticky, which is unexpected for a CBD-dominant strain. Visually and aromatically, this strain closely resembles traditional THC-rich cannabis, making it appealing for both appearance and potency.
CBD Skunk Haze is a stable hybrid that produces tall, vigorous plants with firm, compact buds. It thrives both indoors under artificial lighting and in controlled greenhouses. For outdoor cultivation in temperate or northern climates, it’s best to grow in a darkened greenhouse.
With an average flowering time of 10 weeks, this strain is well-suited for SCROG and SOG growing methods. The plants develop buds quickly, with resin production starting early in the flowering phase. The resulting buds are large, sticky, and rich in trichomes, making them ideal for cannabis oil or concentrate production.
