Strain Information

This is a classic from the California scene. Its pedigree comes from a Genofarm selection of the original Sour D (Chemdog – Super Skunk) and it is appreciated by many old-school growers for its aroma of earth, moss, pine and diesel. Stable and savory, this variety has captivated many palates, and despite the fact that it has been around for a few decades, it is still there where good cannabis is cherished. The plants grow vigorously during both the vegetative and flowering cycles with a very present odor. Growers that choose Sour Diesel generally do so due to having been seduced by the strain’s great production, its powerful effect and its rich taste. Harvest comes after 8-9 weeks of flowering, or in mid-October if cultivated outside. It is resistant to botrytis and also withstands attacks by fungi and pests. Moreover, Sour D can be cultivated in humid climates. Also, the fact that its production can reach a gram per watt in interior cultivation and up to 2 kg per plant in greenhouse conditions make it indisputable favorite among professional growers.
