California Runtz Automatic is a 60/40 indica-dominant hybrid developed for the Sensi Seeds Breeding Grounds project in partnership with Humboldt Seed Company. This strain combines the Feminized version of Forbidden Runtz (Forbidden Fruit and Runtz) with Ruderalis Indica to introduce the autoflowering trait. The result is a short, open, and airy plant that thrives in limited spaces and requires minimal maintenance.
California Runtz Automatic cannabis seeds grow into extremely short plants with a surprisingly open frame and long internodal spacing. These plants feature a thick main stem that supports a single cola at the top, with smaller buds growing between the cola and the lower canopy. The lateral branches are short and thick, producing dense, golfball-sized buds from every flowering site.
Indoor growers can expect plants to reach a height of 25-80 cm, yielding 250-325 grams per square metre over a 60 to 65-day flowering cycle. Outdoors, these plants typically top out around 100 cm, producing 125-250 grams per plant.
California Runtz Automatic plants produce golfball-sized buds with a deep purple to green colouration, a heavy coating of frosty, sugary trichomes from the Forbidden Runtz lineage, and fiery orange pistils. Their short stature and few branches make trimming relatively simple.
