Candy Apples Automatic delivers an intensely complex and aromatic experience. Once the buds begin to flower, they emit a powerful scent that blends sour green apples, creamy cookie dough, sugary candy, a light vanilla glaze, and a faintly gassy finish. This aroma is both bold and alluring, making it difficult to conceal if privacy is a concern. After curing, the scent mellow slightly, revealing notes of fresh sour apple, warm buttered sugar, and a doughy, cookie-batter depth that evolves into a sticky fruit taffy funk.

Growing Characteristics

Candy Apples Automatic is a 60/40 indica-dominant hybrid bred as part of the Sensi Seeds Breeding Grounds project in collaboration with Fat Beans. This autoflowering strain was created by crossing a ruderalis indica with a blend of Sour Apples and Animal Cookies, resulting in a mixed lineage that includes Sour Diesel, Cinderella 99, and Girl Scout Cookies.

These plants typically grow to medium heights with a compact frame, tight internodal spacing, broad leaves, and strong lateral branches that create a dense, bushy canopy. Sturdy stems support heavy, resinous flowers with minimal stretch. Indoors, they usually reach heights of 70-110 cm and can yield up to 250-325 grams per square metre over a 60 to 65-day flowering period. Outdoors, they typically grow to 80-120 cm and can produce up to 150-250 grams per plant.

The buds are chunky and bulbous with dense trichome coverage, forming heavy calyxes dripping in sticky resin. While the buds are leafy and can make trimming a bit of a hassle, growers are likely to have a single main cola and a limited number of smaller buds from the lower branches.

As an autoflowering strain, Candy Apples Automatic is not well-suited for advanced growing techniques such as SCROG or mainlining. However, they are small and compact enough to potentially grow in a sea of green (SOG) setup.
