Description

Early Pearl® Regular

Early Pearl Regular is a sativa-dominant strain, with 75% sativa and 25% indica genetics. Unlike other sativa-dominant strains, it thrives even in shorter, cooler summers, making it a popular choice for growers in temperate climates.

The strain is known for its impressive yields, with outdoor plants sometimes producing up to 2 kilos each. When cultivated indoors, it can yield about 500 grams per square metre. Plants can grow to towering heights, reaching up to 4 metres when grown outdoors, and up to 190 cm indoors.

Early Pearl Regular has a distinctive scent of orange and pine, with notes of incense and wood. The buds develop a fresh, zesty aroma during growth, which intensifies as they mature, taking on a hint of chopped wood and incense. The taste also reflects the citrus and pine notes, offering a pleasant and refreshing experience.

The high is buoyant, uplifting, and exuberant, with a classic sativa effect that is happy, light, and cerebral. This makes it a great option for daytime use. The indica genetics add robustness and ease-of-maintenance, while boosting the yield.

Early Pearl Regular has a relatively short flowering time of 50 to 70 days. Growers recommend planting the seeds indoors as winter comes to an end, then moving them outside to a sunny spot after the spring equinox. The plants are tough and resilient, thriving in cooler climates with shorter summers, but they require plenty of sunlight to reach their full potential.

As a regular seed strain, it produces both male and female plants, making it a good option for those wanting to generate their own seeds for further growing or who want to experiment with cross-breeding with other strains.

Early Pearl Regular was first introduced back in the 1980s and has been a favourite outdoor variety since then. It is a viable option for beginners, as the plants don’t require too much maintenance or expertise. Experienced growers report good success with techniques such as lollipopping and supercropping.
