Head Knock Automatic is a 60% indica-dominant hybrid developed in collaboration with DNA Genetics as part of the Sensi Seeds Breeding Grounds project. This strain was created by crossing DNA Genetics’ DNA Cake (a blend of Gelato 33 and Wedding Cake) with Grease Slapper (a previous Breeding Grounds collaboration between Banana Kush Cake and Richard Petty 43), and then adding Ruderalis Indica to introduce autoflowering genetics.

These plants are reasonably compact but lean into their sativa genetics, making them ideal for indoor growers who want an uplifting high without worrying about space. While they don’t respond well to advanced growing techniques, they handle low-stress training quite well due to their long, slender branches. They thrive in a warm, semi-dry Mediterranean environment.

Head Knock Automatic plants grow into short, bushy plants with thick lateral branches and balanced internodal spacing. During flowering, they develop stacked colas with dense bud sites and resin-rich bracts. In the end, they form a bushy yet open structure that allows for good light penetration and airflow. Indoors, they reach a height of 25–85 cm, typically on the higher end of that range, and yield 250–325 grams per square metre. Outdoors, they grow slightly taller, up to around 100 cm, and produce 150–250 grams per plant over a 60–65-day flowering period.

The flowers are chunky, dense, and heavily frosted with a thick layer of oily trichomes on lime-green buds with purple highlights. Lower branches develop numerous buds, though they won’t be exceptionally large. Minimal vegetation makes trimming easier, though slightly time-consuming. Since they flower on their own after a few weeks, growers have limited control over their shape and size. However, they respond well to low-stress training techniques like SCROG or lollipopping. They may be too tall and open for a SOG setup.

Once flowering begins, Head Knock Automatic plants emit a sweet vanilla cake aroma with notes of creamy baked goods, subtle diesel fumes, and a slight citrussy Kushiness. After curing, they develop a warm, sugary, dough-like scent with an underlying gassy funk, hints of sweet, frosty cake icing, and faint, earthy undertones.

Sampling Head Knock Automatic delivers a creamy flavor dominated by vanilla and diesel. The inhale offers a burst of sweet dough, while the exhale provides a cookies-and-cream finish paired with pungent petrol notes and a lingering, slightly grapey finish.
