Bred from some of the most significant cannabis gene pools globally, Purple Bud Feminized traces its lineage to legendary Indica cultivars from Afghanistan’s Hindu Kush region, the California medicinal marijuana scene, and the Netherlands, a renowned center for cannabis breeding. The primary influence comes from two pure Afghanica cultivars, contributing to the strain’s high potency, swift flowering time, dense buds, and sturdy structure.

A more distant Sativa ancestor, a sought-after Jamaican variety, adds a touch of height and enhances the high, complementing the body-centered Indica effects. The final stage of breeding involved crossing a 75% Afghani strain with a stunning Kush hybrid, combining Dutch-bred Hindu Kush and a US purple Kush.

Appearance and Aroma

Purple Bud Feminized is known for its striking purple hues, most prominently displayed in the flowers rather than the leaves, which are often green at maturity. The buds are thick, solid, and spiky, expanding significantly by harvest time and covering most of the stem and branches. They are densely coated with sparkling resin glands and emit a rich pine-sandalwood aroma with sweet undertones.
